ARTIST Damien Hirst has announced girlfriend Sophie Cannell has given birth to their first child together.
The couple shared their happy news with fans on Instagram today alongside pictures of their bundle of joy.
Ex-ballerina Sophie, 30, posted sweet photos of their son in his cot, and captioned them: "Welcome to the World OUR BOY"
Damien, 58, couldn't resist a dad joke in his caption, writing alongside a photo of Sophie and the tot: "Trying not to let the arrival of this beautiful baby boy interfere with the snooker."
His post attracted thousands of likes and comments, with one follower writing: "Being an older dad is the Best!"
Another confused follower asked: "Hold on, is this baby his child or grandchild?"

It was reported the artist and art collector met Sophie at posh London nightclub Chiltern Firehouse where she worked as a waitress.
They were first pictured in public together in 2018.
Four years later he gifted her a £166,600 gold Rolex studded with 713 gems.
Damien previously dated model Katie Keight, who is 24 years his junior, and stylist Roxie Nafous, when she was 23 when he was 48.

Damien came to prominence in the 1990s, grabbing the attention of art collector Charles Saatchi.
In 1995 he won the Turner Prize with his Mother and Child Divided sculpture featuring four glass tanks containing the front and back sections of a cow and her calf preserved in formaldehyde.
This series of dead animal artwork also included a great white shark, which sold for around $12million (£9.6m) in 2004, and a sheep.
In 2017, his colourful painting of George Michael sold at auction for £460,000, raising money for HIV and Aids prevention and awareness.
In 2021, Kanye West purchased a £1million sculpture made by the artist that was previously owned by George.
'FOETUS' CAKE
The Englishman has some high-profile pals too, from snooker ace Ronnie O'Sullivan to singer Ed Sheeran.
His works revolves around the themes of death, rebirth, and immortality, which may explain the birthday cake he commissioned for pregnant Sophie.
The cake was in the shape of her unborn baby with a cross section of her body.
It was inspired by his series of giant bronze sculptures that depicted the development of the foetus in the womb, called The Miraculous Journey.
Sophie shared their pregnancy news by posting a picture of her bump as she wore a black bikini in their indoor pool.

The happy couple live in his 14-bedroom home in London's Regent's Park, worth an eye-watering £36 million.
