Messages between teacher and boy she ‘had sex with’ are revealed in court as she tells 15-year-old ‘it’s only you’

MESSAGES shared between a teacher and 15-year-old boy she allegedly had sex with twice have been revealed to jurors.
Rebecca Joynes, 30, is currently on trial accused of having sexual relationships with two pupils, including one she had a baby with.

The maths teacher denies six charges of engaging in sexual activity with a child.
Messages allegedly shared between Joynes and one of the alleged victims - Boy A - were read to Manchester Crown Court today.
In one set of texts, the pair discuss meeting up, with the then 15-year-old asking if he's coming later or not.
Joynes allegedly replies: "You better had come now you told me you are.”

In another exchange, they joked about another pupil joining them before Boy A tells his teacher he should be "the only one".
Joynes responded: "Obviously it’s only you.”
Boy A then said: “As it should be. Best student by far."
The teen also told Joynes he no longer liked maths as he "gets too distracted now", before adding it was "from the work".

The teacher replied: "Better had be the work.”
Giving evidence today, Boy A told the court he never made up the allegations about sleeping with Joynes.
The court was told she "groomed" the student, who was then 15, by taking him shopping at Selfridges.
Joynes then allegedly bought him a £345 Gucci belt before taking him home in her white Audi where they had sex twice.
He claimed Joynes had laughed and told him to "shut up" when he mentioned his age to her.
The boy today denied claims that he had “made up” the claims because Joynes had rejected his advances.
Katy Appleton, defending, asked him: “Were you concerned what your friends would say if they found out she had turned you down.”
He replied: “No."
Ms Appleton then suggested the boy’s claims about Joynes had boosted his “status” at school.
She also asked whether he had felt “embarrassed” and “angry” that Joynes had “rejected” him, which he also denied.
The lawyer said: “Did you feel you became more important or more popular as a result of what you say happened between you and Rebecca Joynes?”
“No,” the boy the replied.
The court was also told how Boy A had joked with his friends and mum about his maths teacher being "fit".
In his evidence yesterday, he said he "didn't expect" to have sex with his teacher when they went shopping at the Trafford Centre.
But he added: "But it did [happen] and I feel like when we arranged to meet anyone in my position and my year would because she was good-looking.”
The pair began speaking when Joynes gave him the first ten digits of her number and asked him to guess the last one, it was said.
He told jurors he messaged her saying "hi", and when she failed to reply, he told her in class: “So, you’re just ignoring me then?”
The pair began texting in a "normal" way at first but Joynes then allegedly asked if he wanted to meet up.
He said: “I remember saying, ‘Surely you’re joking?'
“And she said: ‘No, I’m not'."
The pair then allegedly went back to her flat and had unprotected sex, with Boy A telling his teacher: "'I hope to God you don't get pregnant."
He told the court he later mentioned to Joynes his mum might be suspicious about where he had spent the night.
She allegedly replied: "She'd better not find out that it was me."
Despite begging the boy not to say anything, he sent a photo to pals of the teacher lying down as proof they had sex, it was said.
When a concerned friend told his mum what had allegedly happened between the pair, she then called the boy's "hysterical" mother.
The court heard Boy A initially told his mum it was "just a stupid conversation" on a group chat that had "got out of control".
A police investigation was launched in October 2021 and she was subsequently arrested and bailed on the condition she did not contact any child under 18.
During his police interview, the boy was asked by an officer what he hoped would happen when he met up with his teacher.
He responded: "I don't know. But anyone in my position, when you are my age, my year. If you ever see her - she is good looking."
The court heard while she was on bail, Joynes began a relationship with Boy B when he was aged 15.
This then progressed into a sexual relationship when he turned 16, with the pair allegedly having sex around 30 times.
Joynes then became pregnant and gave birth to his child despite telling him she was infertile, jurors were told.
She allegedly broke the news by presenting him with a babygrow that included the words: “I love my daddy.”
He is said to have cried and told Joynes that he did not want a baby.
Prosecutor Joe Allman said: "So remarkably and, in all honesty quite brazenly, this was all happening while Ms Joynes was on bail to this court.
"Of course she can't deny that sexual relationship because she became pregnant with (Boy B's) child and she had (Boy B's) child.
"Instead this time she claims the sexual activity didn't start until he was over 16 and she had been finally dismissed from the school."
