The Made In Chelsea style queen, 22, gives us a bad dose of clothes envy as we talk fashion, royalty and love.
Where Louise’s wardrobe at her dad’s home in Chelsea (where else?!)
You have an amazing wardrobe, Louise. Do you have a stylist?
God, no! It’s all down to us. After the first series, I realised I had to make more of an effort and not just turn up looking hungover. I feel I can’t wear the same outfit twice now. It has caused a few problems though. I bought a yellow tweed Zara jacket without realising Millie and Victoria had bought the same one. There was one episode where we’re all in different scenes wearing it!
What does Spencer [Matthews, 24, Louise’s co-star boyfriend] like you to wear?
He likes revealing things. He wanted me to wear this sparkly Jovani dress [pictured, right] to the National Television Awards, but I felt more comfortable in my white Society For Rational dress. He bought me a gorgeous pair of grey tweed Christian Louboutin shoes with a tassle on the front, but he thinks I don’t like them, as I don’t wear them all the time.
Have you forgiven him for cheating on you at the end of the last series?
Yes, we’re all good now. He was an idiot and I think he should apologise to everyone for what he did, but we’ve talked things out. We had an amazing time at New Year, going to St Barts and then New York. He knows he made a big mistake.
A lot of reality stars have put their names to their own fashion lines. What makes yours [denim brand Pocket London and a fashion collection with Goddiva] so special?
It does annoy me, but then I can see why they would, as you get money for not much work. But Pocket is our own business. My friend [and Pocket co-founder] Ed Page and I do everything ourselves – from designing the jeans and visiting suppliers in Portugal to taking orders. It started out as a sideline, but it’s becoming a full-time job.
Are you a bargain hunter?
I can find the best bargains on the high street. I’ve got some great stuff from H&M, and I always buy discounted designer accessories online.
Where do you most like to shop?
For high street, I love Zara – its amazing for jackets – and H&M. I do a lot of online shopping at Net-a-porter.com and I love Cocosa.com. It feels like I’m not really spending any money when I buy online though, which is scary.
What’s the last thing you splurged on?
At the moment getting my car out of the pound – Chelsea parking officers are vicious! And I bought Spencer a Givenchy leather padded coat for his birthday. I get given such gorgeous presents for my birthdays – Spencer spoils me too much. My dad’s wife comes from York, where there’s a Mulberry outlet, so he’s bought me some bags from there. My mum and dad always moan about how many clothes I’ve got. I’m buying my own place so I can have all my wardrobe in one place now and they can’t complain. I can’t wait!
How posh are you? Are you mates with the royals?
Ha! Most of my family and friends are very down to earth. I did go to school with [Princess] Eugenie, who is so much fun. I think people forget they are just normal people like us, and she’s actually really down to earth.
