As London fashion week revs into action, we had the pleasure of being invited down to the launch of the Cambridge Satchel company’s first pop-up shop in London’s trendy Seven Dials, Covent Garden.
We perused walls full of the multi-coloured, lust-worthy bags and had a drink whilst checking out the bloggers’ lounge and designer collaborations.

We weren’t the only fans of the brand attending either, we spotted Sophie Ellis-Bextor and husband Richard Jones on the decks, whilst presenter Zoe Hardman was airkissing TV chef Gizzi Erskine. The very, very beautiful-in-real-life Frankie Sandford also turned up, although her boyfriend, footballer Wayne Bridge didn’t seem as interested in the bags. We did enjoy watching Frankie introduce herself to a very cute little white dog of the same name (he stars at the end of the video below). He didn’t look impressed though and carried on slurping water from a glass and no, we’re not kidding about that.

Besides the gorgeous satchels our highlights were firstly, the luminous jelly display and secondly, the tiny sparkly satchel-shaped gin jellies – an inspired choice! We’re only annoyed that we’re not in the same league as our celeb mates who we hear were gifted with a bag of their choice before the event. (We would have chosen one of the pastel colours… Hint, hint!)
