We trotted off to Claridge’s this morning, (as you do), to hear all about Clinique’s new miracle skincare product…
In fact it was a morn involving some of our favourite ‘c’s – Clinique, Claridges and canapes. Bliss. The new Moisture Surge CC Cream SPF30 Hydrating Colour Corrector, (to give it its full and proper title), is primarily a skincare product that doubles up as make-up – basically it knows how to multi-task.
The most noticeable thing it does is give you a natural glow in seconds. With age, stress and day-to-day environmental concerns, skin can lose its pep, its wow, its happy-go-lucky sheen. But Moisture Surge CC Cream promises to help you get all that back.
The colour corrector bit means it smooths over all the tonal differences on your face. And the technology within the cream utilises light to reflect off your skin, giving it glow to go. You’ll look like you. But better. For us this means circa 2004, before we discovered The Green Man pub and £7.95 bottles of wine.
The next bit is where the skincare comes in – the hydration. The new lightweight formula has some of the same hydrating ingredients found in Clinique’s signature Moisture Surge products meaning skin will be protected against humidity and all sorts of nastiness in the air. Plus over time this hydration will improve any tonal differences for good.
All this and it also acts as a sun screen. Let’s have a warm round of applause please. So there you have it – the Moisture Surge CC Cream, £28, clinique.co.uk, will be available nationwide from April 26.
