Shoot scenes… Hello Hanoi!

After it took Fab Van Man, Paul, (the man who drives the black and pink ‘Fabulous’ van) nearly three hours to get to the airport with our model Franziska, visas, and passports (?!) we should have known the journey to Vietnam was going to be… interesting.
We made the flight by the skin of our teeth and were feeling pret-ty pleased with ourselves as we settled into our seats, accepted the complimentary glasses of champagne, and debated the films we were going to watch. An hour later, when the plane hadn’t moved and the stewardesses were flapping around in a panic we realised something was up. Appaz a woman had managed to cut her hand so badly that after endless attempts with the onboard first aid kit they decided she needed to be removed from the plane. Now, considering you’re not allowed tweezers on a flight let alone a knife/scissors it really makes you wonder how she managed to slice the rumoured finger off…vietnam buffet
Anyway. Two hours after our scheduled departure time we finally set off, got stuck into the plane food and decided on Ted and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, FYI. Eleven hours and a record breaking seven hours sleep each, we landed in Hong Kong feeling fresh and ready for our connection to Hanoi. We even managed a cheeky Starbucks during our 30 minute stopover. It was at that point we had a sudden feeling of dread – would our luggage be as speedy? After staring longingly at the baggage carousel for what felt like forever, the answer was a resounding NO.  Good Evening Vietnam.vietnam hotel
So one night down, three cups of coffee, a carb-tastic brekkie at the Movenpick Hotel in the business district of Hanoi (see pic: not quite the Docklands), and a severe lack of clean clothing, we’re off to see Team Fashion who are shooting in the local market place.vietnam view
Chào for now…
