Cheat sheet

The inside of a Kinder Surprise – a massive multitasker

  • Use the plastic container to store delicate necklaces when going on holiday for tangle-free organisation. Tricksy!
  • Stick the two halves together and use to make homemade skittles; the kids just need to fire marbles at them. Terrific!
  • Make your own chocolates by melting down a block, mixing in marshmallows and popping candy, and pouring into the two halves. Chill, then pop out. Tasty!

We rhyme with Lycra-loving Mr Motivator, 60fabulist2

Hey, Mr Motivator! Do you prefer a jacket potata or a roast potata (it rhymes, get it)?

Oh baby, I eat both of those things. Give it to me with some fish and I’m your man.

Are you a thorough masticator?

Err… I don’t think I heard you right?

You know, do you chew well?

If I’m hungry, I want to get it down as quickly as I can. And if it’s something really enjoyable, I’m going to take my time and just chew away.

Is your favourite film The Terminator?

It’s not my favourite film but I see bits of myself in there. I’m the man, I’m always coming back.

Do you have an alma mater?

I never had the opportunity to go on to further education. Education wasn’t as important to me as survival.

Have you ever been a waiter?

I’ve been waiting for years to be released out there, so I can influence people to a healthier way of life.

Good answer, Mr M!

I’m an activator, too!

Will you be wearing Lycra in your new fitness videos?

Come on now, how could I not? When you’re the best-looking man in the world you’ve got to flaunt it.

What’s your motivation?

Since starting on television in 1993, everywhere I go, people come up to shake my hand and always have a nice thing to say. You’re bound to
get motivated by that.

Is it just us or…

Is it only the biggest drama queens who go on about how much they hate drama?

Awkward!

The moment when… You get stuck on the train

You’re on the train with just one more stop to go until you can get home and put on your onesie. But as you pull into your station, you realise the man sitting next to you is fast asleep and blocking your exit. “Excuse me,” you try, but he’s not budging. A gentle poke and he’s still not waking up. You have less than a minute before the train goes again. Your only option is to go over the top. But, as you climb, your leg gets stuck. To make it worse, the man then wakes up to what looks like a lap dance. “So sorry…” you start, but it’s too late. Now the train’s moving again. Aarrrgghhh!

Kings Of Leon on tour

From Use Somebody to Sex On Fire, you know all the words and have at least one of their albums on your iPod. And now you can see them for real! The band from Nashville, brothers Caleb, Jared and Nathan, plus their cousin Matthew, will be over this way in six months’ time, which just happens to be around the same time that Glastonbury is on. Just sayin’.

This week we want to be…

Michelle Obama

fabulist5

Michelle, the First Lady of fashion

The First Lady of the United States is beyond extraordinary – as a lawyer, mother, fashion icon, role model, and wife of POTUS (that’s President of the United States to me and you). And to think, we struggle with remembering where we left our keys in the morning!

Back when she was Miss Robinson, Michelle, now 48, found herself mentoring an intern by the name of Barack Obama at the Chicago law firm where she worked. You can probably figure out the rest of the story and, today, a couple of decades later, it’s Barack’s second inauguration as Pres.

Along the way, Michelle’s graduated from one of the most prestigious law schools in the world, Harvard, had two daughters, Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11, been on the cover of Vogue and set up a vegetable patch at the White House.

The woman can do no wrong when it comes to fashion. So much so that when she wears a dress it immediately sells out in what has been dubbed, “The Michelle Effect”. And we’d be lying if we said we were only slightly jealous of those toned arms.

The final piece in our Michelle obsession came when she made her passionate speech in support of Barack at the Democratic convention in September. It could be argued that her rallying words even won him the election.

She’s surely the best advisor Barack has on board – imagine the pillow talk! He was right when he said the nation of America had fallen in love with her. And that extends across the Atlantic, too, because Michelle, if you’re reading this (which clearly you are), we love you!
