This morning Noel Gallagher announced the line up for The Teenage Cancer Trust gigs 2013, sponsored by The Body Shop and we were there. This is the first year that Noel has been in charge of organizing the prestigious gig and he himself said he was honoured because of the kids he’d met:
“You develop your dreams as a teenager and when, somehow you’re in a room with a teenager whose dreams aren’t as they should be, it’s a touching thing”
However, he also said it had taken 9 months of hard graft and it had been more than tough asking other people for favours – it’s not something that comes naturally to him, apparently.
The Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall is an annual event, raising over £15 million for the charity so far. Stars performing previously have included Tinie Tempah, Jimmy Carr, Oasis, Paul Weller and Coldplay, so obviously Noel said he felt no pressure!
The boy has done well. The line up includes Rizzle Kicks, Labrinth, Noel Fielding, Kasabian as well as Noel himself, to name just a few. Not only that but this year he has also convinced best friend Russell Brand to take to the stage joking that he would have great material because of his divorce. Ouch!
Tickets are available from 9am on Friday and we already know this is not to be missed. Look at the list below, sort out your diary and have a great night out, all whilst helping raise money for a great cause. It’s the best selfish good deed there is!
