Last night we could not believe our peepers as we watched the uber glamorous Rihanna perform new single Diamonds, whilst being drenched in a torrential downpour, live on the X Factor stage.

Defying all the odds, RiRi’s beautifully made up face didn’t falter thanks to make–up artist Karin Darnell’s careful consideration in the cosmetics department. The big make up mystery? Waterproof and Cream based products! Laura Mercier Cream Eye-colour in Platinum (£18.50) kept Rihanna’s glossy eyeshadow and foundation locked in place whilst lashings of Lancôme’s Hypnose Waterproof Mascara (£21) gave the finished look ultimate staying power.
We don’t know about you but with the current weather forecast we will be putting these waterproof products into practice.
