This week celeb nail technician Loretta Fletcher gave us blinding talons using her special gel technique. Beverly Knight and the TOWIE girls are massive fans, and we weren’t left disappointed.
For both looks, Loretta (who was rocking jewel-encrusted baby-pink tips herself) layered up various gels, dipped our nails in glitter, and set under a super-futuristic hot lamp, leaving super-sparkly, soft and hard-wearing nails.
Lara went for gold and bang-on-trend coral nails, with beads set on the ring ringer of both hands. If you’re just going to adorn one finger, go for the ring finger or thumb for an up-to-date look.
I chose a dark blue-green shade that reminded me of Ariel’s tail in The Little Mermaid. Despite being far too old for Disney, the Mermaid appeal was still strong – be kind. Taking inspiration from Loretta’s own nails, I went for three gold beads on each thumb.
Five days later, there is no sign of chipping, and these bad boys could last for weeks yet. Hurray!
