We had a quick catch up with Towie star and Essex lovely Lydia Bright about all things fashion, and why she’s excited to host fash event ‘Enchanted’ at the Birmingham Bullring next weekend…
What are you most looking forward to about the fashion show?
Well I love fashion a lot! I’m really just excitied about hosting my first fashion event and I’ve actually never been to Birmingham before so that will be really exciting for me.
What brands you most excitied to see at the show?
Loads of brands are gonna be there so I am excited to see all of them, they literally have so many brands, River Island, Forver 21, Cos, Goldsmiths…. As London Fashion Week is coming up I’m excited to see how the high street adopts A/W trends from the shows.
Amazing.. Who are your favourite designers?
Classic, 50’s fsort of fashion: Chanel, Christian Dior’s last collections were , unreal, neutral and pastel, pencil skirts. I love so many, feminine and elegant designers.
How would you describe your style?
Very 50’s isnpired, I love vintage. My sort of style is 50’s inspired, girly, vintage, Marylin Monroe, Audrey Hepburn…
What is the one accessory you cant live without?
Probably my sunglasses, I’m awful at doing make up in the morning, I’m so lazy! My favourite are cream with leopard print on the arm. 50’s-shaped Givenchy ones.
For your shop Bella Sorella, do you choose all the stock?
I do all the buying. We’ve got probably about 20 brands, from evening wear and red carpet dresses to day wear and party wear. A lot of people when they come down they want to come and get your style, so I buy things I would naturally wear.
If you had your own clothing line, what would you call it?
My name, simple - I’ve actually got one coming out!
Ooh… tell us more?
I’m due to be launching a small collection in my shop and in a high street retailer. Nothing is confirmed or set in concrete yet but I’m sure you will find out soon which one it is soon… It’s very very exciting!
Whats your favourite thing in your wardrobe?
Probably shoes – my fave pair are black velvet and gold platforms by Charlotte Olympia – I wear them everywhere, they’re so comfortable! You will probably notice them in pictures now!
What’s the most expensive thing you have ever bought?
Ummm, gosh, probably all of my shoes they are quite expensive and ooh my vintage Moschino coat. I like to splash out more on my accessories, so like my bags and shoe,s and get clothes from high street stores.
What is your favourite shop?
I love Miss selfridge as I feel they really channel vintage styles. River Island also did such amazing bits for summer, I loved their collaboration with Pacha and got some really nice swimwear from them.
We are dying to know, how are things with Tom (Kilbey) are you still really loved up?
Yeah everything is really great, we’ve just been shopping together to get our outfits for the National Television Awards tonight!
Ohhh we are so JEL!
