Olympic closing ceremony
We don’t want it to end! Tomorrow a musical masterpiece will celebrate the end of the games with rumours of performances from Madness, Take That and the Spice Girls. If you’ve nabbed tickets we’re well jel! If not, grab your mates, get the drinks in and enjoy the show from the comfort of your sofa.

Manchester Caribbean Carnival

A taste of the Caribbean is coming to Manc. We hope the weather is coming too. This colourful carnival will be filled with the sounds, sights and smells of the Caribbean. Visit the main stage for the best of calypso and reggae music. And don’t forget to catch the carnival parade.

Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

We can’t wait to see what fancy shapes will be taking to the skies in this big balloon bonanza. Bristol will be showing off up to 150 spectacular designs. We love the humongous Churchill nodding dog, which is a whopping 34 x 24 metres – that’s the same size as an office block! Ooooo yes!

Wilderness Festival

This three-day arts and outdoors celebration is a festival like no other. It’s got banquets under canopies, tented talks, midnight masked balls, barefoot dancing and parkland processions. Oh and it’s also got a lakeside spa with hand-built oak hot tubs, wooden saunas and a champagne bar. We know where we’ll be relaxing!

Thousands of performers are taking over Edinburgh this month to show the world their funny bones. From the biggest names in comedy to unknown artists looking to build their careers, this hilarious hurrah includes theatre, comedy, dance and music acts. Oh and don’t forget to nab our comedy issue tomorrow. We think its bang tidy.
