Swit and swoo. Ms Perry was looking more than fly, evening managing to style out the rain with a Brit brolly…Last night, we joined the celebs to walk the candy-covered pink carpet at Katy Perry’s Part Of Me film premiere in London’s Leicester Square.

The goddess herself looked HOT in white and gold, but, proving that wardrobe malfunctions can happen to anyone, she later revealed: “I can’t show you the back [of her dress]. I busted the zipper.” Katy kept fans entertained on the carpet by chatting and laughing with them. Keen to show off her amazing lashes she tweeted “even my lashes are excited”. No pink carpet experience is complete without a bit of celeb spotting. We spied Perez Hilton looking cool in yellow shades.

And also saw TOWIE’s gorgeous Lydia Bright stocking up on snacks pre-film for her boyfriend, Tom Kilbey and mum, Debbie. “It’s all about the cinema treats,” she tweeted.

Ever playful, the I Kissed A Girl singer entered the screening saying: “Anyone not in their seat is a rotten egg”. Not us. We were sat food in hand and 3D glasses on.

Before the film Katy launched into a quick Q&A with the audience. Answering five random questions from her fans she revealed that moving to the English countryside could be an option. “I love the beans on toast. I love the monarchy. Prince Harry is single and I happen to be now. And I love a hot ginger,” she said. “So yeah, there’s a lot of things that are pretty cool to move here for.” Nice to see she hasn’t been put off English men for good.

Perry’s film is  an in-depth look into her world of as she embarked on her biggest tour to date. We had to keep our arms crossed throughout to stop ourselves getting up and dancing (apparently that’s bad cinema etiquette). There was a lot of laughter, a few tears, plenty of cheers and one big boo (there weren’t many Russell Brand fans in the audience).

Worn out from all the singing we left even more in love with Katy than when we went in – if that’s even possible.

See Part Of Me in cinemas from July 5.
