I’m getting married in August, but while my dress and flowers are sorted, I keep having make-up panics. What look should I do to say “I do” in? Beth, 28, Newcastle
Meep. Getting your look right on your big day is tricky. Too subtle and you’ll wind up washed out when the wedding snaps come in. And too much and you might end up looking like an extra from Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert. Eek!
The general way to go is you, but a bit better. Lots of brands offer up a bridal service at their counters, so we suggest popping a long for a consultation. Take a notebook, draw a big face and scribble all over it what goes where. As well as noting down how to apply. Then buy your faves of their prods, work out how to use what you’ve already got and then you’ll be good to do a Kate Middleton on your special day. If it’s good enough for the future Queen of England to do her own make-up, you’ll be just fine.
Our fave counters for pre-bride prep are Bobbi Brown and Benefit. Have a happy make-up ever after.
