Ahh, horse racing. What is it about you that makes people go a bit mental with the dressing up? This week Royal Ascot has been make us jel (and making us laugh a bit too) as celebs have donned their biggest hats and snazziest frocks. Let the judging commence.
Look at Danielle Lineker in monochrome - very sophisticated! We love the mini veil on Danielle’s hat and the Chanel clutch. Sometimes less is more. Excellent work, Mrs Lineker. Hit!
Here’s our cover star for this weekend, Lydia Bright, looking TOTALLY different to her shoot with us (but just as fab). We’re liking the belt/bow detail on Lyds’ dress, and those nude peep-toe heels which show off her perfect pins. We bet Tom Kilbey’s feeling very lucky right now!
Not loving this look, Tamara Eccleston – sorry! It’s too blingy for us, and the frilly hat doesn’t really fit. Also, are we wrong or isn’t there supposed to be an extra-strict dress code in force at Ascot this year? That skirt is FAR too short. We don’t care if we sound like schoolteachers. Fail!
Ok, so we gave Tamara Ecclestone a miss for being too blingy. But we’re giving Amy Childs a hit. Because she pulls off the Essex look way better – love the oversized gold watch, Ames. And those big shades. And of course the black and white dress which shows off her Jessica Rabbit curves to the max. Amy always looks amazing!
And Katherine Jenkins tweeted this photo of herself in her car on the way to Ascot this morning. We’re not totally won over on the hat (we like big, but it’s a little bit mumsy) but we’re giving Kath a hit, because we like the fitted dress (though we think it might also be breaking this year’s extra-strict Ascot dress code. Sorry. Out comes the inner schoolteacher in us again).
