Summer tweed
Chanel has been channelling tweed since, well, forever! This season, it’s lost its classic image and had a summery, candy-coloured makeover, and the high street is following suit, with tweed on everything from biker jackets to bags.
Summer tweeds are the ultimate style solution to the British weather. Throw a cropped tweed jacket over jeans and a T-shirt, slip into a tweed dress for cocktails, or dare to bare in high-waisted tweed shorts if the sun ever comes out.

How to wear
Snakeskin
I’m always a bit dubious about animal prints. While I think they look cool on other (normally younger) people, I tend to steer clear myself.
I am, however, feeling the love for snake print this season. It’s kinder on those of us who remember the ’80s, and instead of making mums look like mutton dressed as lamb, it’s quite grown-up, feels appropriate and won’t scare horses.
This simple shift from Mango doesn’t cling in all the wrong places, so will look great even if you fall off the Weight Watchers’ wagon!

* Bag it A hand-held oversized clutch makes the outfit look expensive.
* Two-timer This works with flats or heels – it’s day to night, office to bar, sorted.
I love the fact that these summer sandals are bejewelled and tough at the same time. Twinkle toes with a killer attitude!
