It’s her debut clothing collection for New Look, and Fabulous has got the first sneak peek. So who better to show it off than Miss Kelly Brook herself?
Mind you, if we were about to launch our first gorgeous fashion range for New Look – she already has a lingerie and swimwear line under her belt – we’d be in a good mood, too.
“Honestly, I feel like I’ve been given the golden ticket,” she says excitedly. “It’s every girl’s dream.”
It’s certainly been Kelly’s ambition for quite a few years now. Which is why she’s been heavily involved in her ’50s-inspired range (“Think Grease and you’re there”), which is packed with Capri pants, wedges, polka dots and bows galore. We heart it.
“I’ve been in creative overdrive. I’ve picked all the fabrics, chosen all the cuts and every little detail for the clothes
and accessories. I’ve got so many ideas. I’m already thinking about what I want to design for a winter range.”
And why not? We reckon her first collection will fly off the shelves – with nipped-in waists, the pieces emphasise feminine curves like Kelly’s.
She grins: “My weight fluctuates loads, so I try to accentuate my waist a lot, as it stays small even if I’m having a bit of a fat day. So stuff that nips me in at the waist is my fave.”
But after 16 years in the modelling business, Kelly is a consummate professional, and barely blinks an eye.
TV presenter, model, designer – is there anything this girl can’t do?
“I think designing really is the next chapter in my life. I can’t be a silly glamour model forever, can I?,” she says.
And with that, a million male hearts break.
