Think of a Pashley bike, add a bit of urban Japanese style and you have one of latest fashion accessories to hit UK shores this year. Thursday night saw the launch night of Tokyobike’s first store in the UK.
Based near Old Street, London, it’s perfect mix of retro cool in a style only the Japanese can muster. In more colours than the inside of a kaleidoscope, you can also choose from polka dot and arty collage frames if you fancied being a little different.
Smaller 650mm wheels and slim, compact, steel frames make the bikes easy to handle and light to ride.
They even have work scheme in place and can do a general checkup of your lovely bike so it’s brand spanking new all of the time for a small fee. Now.. just waiting for the summer to arrive so I can put on my boat hat on for a slow ride in the sunshine – lush!
