Tesco launches F&F pop up shop in London

Exciting news: Tesco have announced today that it will launch an F&F pop up shop in central London, open to customers for four days on the week of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, from 30th May – 2nd June 2012.

Located in the Piazza at Covent Garden, the pop up will see the F&F online store come to life, showcasing the exclusive online collections. Customers will be able to see and try onselected pieces from F&F’s online only collections, as well as try out the latest augmented technology from Aurasma. This technology will bring the collections to life, with catwalk shows playing on customer’s mobile phones when they point their phone at one of the images in the store.

To tie in with Jubilee celebrations, the shop will draw inspiration from the fifties, with plenty of modern features to reflect the digital retail world of 2012.  The key trends being showcased in the shop include pretty pastel-hued vintage candy and a luxe take on the safari trend, tribal. There will also be vintage inspired prom dresses that hark back to the glamour of the 50′s and the year of the Queen’s coronation.

Unlike a traditional shop, the items on show will be for display and trying on purposes only, and instead of a till there will be an iPad station where customers can browse and buy. Customers will also be able to virtually try on garments using a virtual fitting room, and there will be QR codes on all products allowing customers to shop on their mobile phones. In addition to standard delivery, the website’s click and collect service will be available in the local Covent Garden Tesco Metro, allowing customers to collect their orders nearby the next day.

Just to convince you even more to go and take a look at this collection, customers will also receive goody bags with every purchase and there will be offers, competitions and beauty treatments available from the Vintage Cosmetic Company.
