Low down
1 Morning errands To tie up (boom boom) this casual-but-oh-so-sleek
look, make like Gwynnie and pull hair to the nape of the neck before
securing with a band.
2 Afternoon with your BFF Untie your hair and place over one shoulder.
Hair supremo Michael Van Clarke says: “Add instant body and texture
pre-braiding by scrunching with my 3 More Inches Volumising Mousse, £12.50.”
Once mussed up, plait loosely, weaving in strands of hair bit by bit for
Eva’s boho-beautiful style.
3 Night out Shake out the plait to make the most of the wavy result.
Pull your ponytail to one side, secure very low with a band, and add a
printed headscarf.
- FYI Ponies work best the day after a wash – a great excuse for a shampoo
break!
Up high
1 Morning errands The Croydon facelift is back for 2012. Scrape hair
into the highest pony possible, and tie with a band. Then fold the pony back
down, securing with kirby grips for a gym-perfect ’do.
2 Afternoon with your BFF Fix your post- workout pony with the perfect
plait à la Ms Burke. Start with a basic “Croydon”, leaving a section of hair
loose. Wrap around the hairband and pin in place, keeping the grips out of
sight. Then plait and voila!
3 Night out Take your look from cafe to bar by undoing your plait, and
smoothing your ’do. Spritz the pony with Tresemmé Heat Defence Smooth
Styling Spray, £4.99, before straightening. “The Ghd Gold
Classic Styler, £119, will create a sleek and glossy ponytail,”
says Ghd creative director, Kenna. Finish with a slick of Charles
Worthington Shine Finishing Touch Polish, £5.19, for an
ultra-chic finish.
