Longue-Dog Red (£5.49, Sainsbury’s) has a playful, spiced
France’s iconic Châteauneuf du Pape is probably the most famous wine to be
produced with the Grenache grape.
2 Nutty white
La Vieille Ferme Blanc Cotes du Luberon (£6.68, Asda) has
honeysuckle and hazelnut depth.
Although Grenache Blanc is native to Spain, it is France’s third most
important white grape and only Spain’s ninth!
3 Cherry white
Gran Tesoro Garnacha (£4.29, Tesco) is a bundle of cinnamon-dusted
“Garnacha” means “Grenache” in Spanish. The region that makes the wine is
called “the Empire of Garnacha”.
