Do you already know what questions I’m going to ask you?
No.
Oh. Well, can you get someone from the spirit world to tell you what next
week’s lottery numbers will be?
In 1992, a lady came to me for a reading in Liverpool. Her mother was on the
spirit side and told me to tell her to buy a lottery ticket. Two weeks
later, she won £1.75 million.
Really? So how does it all work then?
It’s like a switch. I can turn it off and turn it on. It’s only when I open up
and block everything from the physical world that I can see spiritual
activity.
And you have a spirit guide, Sam, who works with you all the time?
That’s right, we met when I was last incarnated on Earth in Ethiopia over
2,000 years ago.
Erm, so have you just had your Ethiopian life and this one, or have there
been others in between?
I had lives before my life in Ethiopia, but I spent over 2,000 years in the
spirit world before I came back to Earth this time around.
Oh-kayee! Tell us about the Michael Jackson séance you held.
We were in connection with him, but we needed more time. A séance should take
at least two hours and we were only given one. You can’t just walk in and
say: “Michael, are you there?” It doesn’t work that way. They have to
contact you.
When have you been most scared?
On one of the Most Haunted programmes, I was possessed by a man called Godfrey
Parks – a rapist and murderer who was never brought to justice. He wouldn’t
leave me without a struggle. After we got him out, I was a grovelling mess.
I couldn’t get up and had no feeling in my legs. I thought he’d crippled me!
What do you say to people who say that you’re a charlatan?
I’m not here to convert anyone – if they don’t believe in what I do, that’s
fine. I try to help people, to provide closure.
Why don’t some of your predictions come true?
There’s no sense of time in the spirit world – it’s hard to say exactly when
things will happen.
So you still stand by your promise that Cheryl and Ashley will have a baby
together in 2011?
I may have been a bit out on the timings, but I do feel that there will be a
child between those two.
Is there anyone in the spirit world that you’d like to speak to?
Gandhi, Mother Teresa and Princess Diana are top of my list.

Derek told me my grandfather was a short man, around 5ft 6in, sturdy, a
fisherman who went bald and died young. My grandfather was indeed short and
bald, but very slight. He was a dentist. Oh, and he died last year aged 92.
