Today I’m in Oldham and Liverpool opening two new branches of a solicitors’
firm. The glamour! But I do the voiceover for their TV ads so I’m delighted
to help out. Even when they make me dress up as a judge! Chris is quite a
fan of my stern judge’s outfit so I sneak away with it. Perhaps I’ll wear it
without the wig though…
On the way home, I pop into McDonald’s for a cheeky Filet-O-Fish. Well, a girl
has to eat!

The parts have finally been given out for Lexi’s Christmas play. When her
teacher tells me she’ll be playing a pig, I nearly wet myself laughing. All
the girls in her class are pigs, while the boys are donkeys. I try to
console her by telling her she’ll be wearing a pink tutu, but she insists
she’d rather be a donkey.
I feel I’ve been working away from home too much lately, so I take Lexi to
Christmas World in Harrods after school. I almost cry with joy when I walk
in – there are sparkling lights, bells, bows and glitter balls everywhere.
And Lexi’s pretty excited too. I’ve promised her she can decorate her own
Christmas tree this year and she’s in her element as she fills her basket
with knitted pink candy canes and felt pink poodles. I love them!

Today I’m on Terry Wogan’s Weekend Wogan Radio 2 show to talk about Shrek The
Musical as we’re giving away five VIP tickets for the premiere on June 14 to
the highest bidder, with the proceeds going to Children In Need. Later I
hear somebody has bid £11,000 for the tickets. Amazing!
The papers today are dominated by rows between the X Factor judges. Piers,
Simon and I don’t really argue on Britain’s Got Talent – though Simon sulks
sometimes. But that’s probably because there’s less competition as we’re not
looking after our own acts. I bet the rows are for the cameras and they
forget about them backstage.

I’m doing a photo shoot for TrimSole Footwear which is launching a new product
next year. It’s a pair of flip-flops designed to help accelerate the toning
of your thighs, legs and bottom. But it’s half the price of similar brands!
It’s great to work with photographer Huggy Ragnarsson, who was a judge on
Britain’s Next Top Model. We copy iconic poses like Marilyn Monroe in her
white dress, and Jane Russell in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes – but beneath the
outfits, I’m in the flip-flops! It’s very tongue in cheek. Look out for the
billboards next year. I’m convinced my bum is already more pert after
wearing the shoes all day!
Mandy’s moan
I’m so happy for William and Kate, but I wish people would stop saying: “About
time!” History shows waiting and having fun before settling down is
sensible. Chris and I were together for five years before we got down the
aisle!
Hot this week
Emma Watson looked bewitching at the premiere of Harry Potter And The Deathly
Hallows Part 1. I’m a big fan of her pixie ’do!
